The length measurement viewed as too short for optimal grafting results is within the range of 200-220mm. In tendon grafting, achieving the appropriate length is crucial for various reasons, including ensuring sufficient overlap within the grafting site, allowing for proper tensioning, and facilitating an adequate healing response.

A tendon graft that is too short may not adequately fill the intended graft site, which can lead to increased tension and stress at the graft interface. This can compromise the healing process, result in less stability, and affect the overall success of the procedure. Ideally, graft lengths should provide enough material to secure strong fixation points and accommodate natural anatomical variations in the patient.

Other length ranges such as 240-260mm, 250-270mm, and 270-290mm provide more suitable options for graft lengths, ensuring that they meet the functional requirements for proper tendon reconstruction and integration. This underscoring of optimal lengths helps guide surgeons in selecting grafts that maximize healing and functional outcomes for the patient.
